Abstract：
本文论述了自律性和他律性的概念，并以此为立足点将印象主义画派和其前后的画派进行对比，或加入中国艺术家的例子加以佐证。旨在说明印象派绘画风格在实践中对艺术发展的自律性和他律性的体现。得出艺术的发展是受自律性和他律性共同影响的，于印象派的发展而言，自律性体现在题材、技法和艺术形式的继承与革新中，而在艺术发展的他律性体现上，政治、经济和哲学在诸多上层建筑中影响最为突出。
