就大学英语教学而言，英语的综合应用能力有五种基本语言技能，分别是听、说、读、写、翻译，还必须包括语言文化素养。毫无疑问，优秀的文学作品代表文化的精髓。除了语言的美丽和非常感伤的特征外，还可以反映一种文化的价值，向我们展示知识和文化的多样性。英美文学在大学英语教育中的渗透与融合，作为一种有效创新范式，迎合了教育变革需求，对促进学生全面发展作用显著，应当引起足够重视与支持。
