Abstract：
在当前核心素养的教育背景下，英语教学无疑成为落实英语学科核心素养的关键路径，而英语阅读作为英语教学的核心内容，其重要性不言而喻。然而，目前英语阅读教学中仍普遍采用传统的教学方式，导致学生间存在个体差异，且对英语阅读的兴趣普遍不高。因此，在核心素养的导向下，深入探讨初中英语阅读分层教学的意义，并探索有效的分层教学策略显得尤为关键。此举不仅有助于消除应试教育带来的弊端，更能在提升学生英语阅读能力的同时，促进其核心素养的全面发展。
