Abstract：
英语是一门语言类学科，有着工具性、功能性的特点，因此在初中教学课堂中开展英语教学时，教师要将教学的重点放在学生语言应用、思维能力增强和核心素养提升上，通过丰富的教学手段让学生在良好的语言氛围下进行运用和表达，培养思维品质，从而提高英语学习水平。本文结合笔者多年的初中英语教学实践，探讨初中英语阅读教学中培养学生思维品质的有效途径，以供参考。
