积极心理学旨在发掘人们的积极品格和优势，以达到从正面激励人们追寻幸福生活的动力。将积极心理学运用到高职院校的学生管理中，即从积极心理学角度对学生更好进行管理，包括对违纪违规学生进行积极教育，挖掘学生积极优势，对其进行积极预防等，其核心是激发学生积极的心态和品质来面对违纪违规问题。
