联合国教科文组织指出，21 世纪教育的使命是帮助学生学会做人、学会做事、学会学习、学会共处。由此可见，当今的教育不仅仅是教会学生掌握文化知识，更重要的是要教会学生学会做人。养成良好的行为习惯，培养健全的人格，这是 21 世纪对人才的要求。
