    “河州贤孝”是用河州（今甘肃临夏）方言说、唱并配以简单的弹拨乐相结合的一种叙事性民间说唱音乐形式，其真实地保留了河州方言的特点，幽默风趣，通俗生动，富有生活气息，又蕴含着一定的人生哲理，语言极富表现力。
