Abstract：
“双减”背景下，高中教育的目标发生改变，促使老师在教学内容及方法上做出相应改变，以此获得提质增效的效果。文章以高中英语为例，以“双减”背景为出发点，探究了当前教学现状。说明了提质增效对于英语教学发展及学生学业进步的重要性。并提出了几点提质增效的实践策略，希望能够为高中英语老师提供一些帮助，对教学方法带去一些参考，减轻学生学业负担的前提下，提高教学效率与质量，培养学生核心素养。
