Abstract：
随着新课程改革的不断深入，初中英语阅读教学面临着新的挑战，传统的教育模式已经不能满足当前素质教育和新课程改革的要求。在核心素养背景下，如何提高学生的英语阅读能力和思维品质，培养他们的阅读兴趣和习惯，成了当前英语阅读教育的重要任务。初中是学生学习英语的黄金时期，也是培养学生阅读能力、表达能力、英语核心素养重要阶段。核心素养养成并非一朝一夕，而是一个长期稳定的过程。本文从核心素养的角度出发，探讨了英语阅读教学方法和策略，旨在提高学生的英语阅读能力和思维品质。
