Abstract：
随着社会的不断进步,全球化趋势大步向前,而英语作为世界上最流行的语言,在语言交流上有着重要的作用.当前,多数中学生仅是为了考试而对英语进行学习,既无法学习到英语所蕴含的精髓,也无法与外国人进行正常的沟通交流,导致高分低能的情况屡屡发生,而学科素质的培养恰恰可以弥补这一缺失,使学科素质培养与英语教学相互结合.本文通过分析初中英语教学的现状,进而提出学科素养在初中英语教学应用方面的策略,以提高初中英语教学效果.
