名著是经过各个年代的专家学者经过仔细研究，认真挑选流传至今的文化瑰宝，在初中语文教学阶段，引导学生进行名著阅读至关重要。不但有助于学生传承中国丰富的传统文化，激发学生对语文学习的兴趣，同时也能够拓宽学生的知识积累，为学生初中语文的写作提供更多的素材。
