    社会教育作为博物馆重要职责，肩负着传播和解读历史文化知识，发挥文化引领风尚、教育人民、服务社会、推动发展的作用。晋国博物馆充分发挥讲解和陈列展览在博物馆社会教育中的基础和平台作用，发挥新媒体在博物馆社会教育中的载体作用，把课堂开在博物馆，吸引青少年“走进来”，加强管校合作，让博物馆“走出去”。对博物馆社会教育功能的发挥进行了积极的探索和实践。
