《英语课程标准》指出：“作业的设计既要有利于学生巩固语言知识的技能，又要促进学生有效运用策略，增强学习动机，使学生形成积极的情感体验，提升自我效能感。”作业是课堂教学的自然延伸和补充，是巩固、掌握和深化课堂所学知识的重要手段；是拓展学习渠道的重要途径，是培养学习能力、语言能力、思维品质和文化意识的重要载体。
