Abstract：
新时期，初中英语教师在教学的过程中要立足于学生的具体情况，采取合理的策略，真正的提升学生的综合能力。在此过程中阅读教学至关重要，教师引导学生进行阅读活动可以提升学生的词汇量，让学生能够真正把学到的英语知识应用起来。文章对初中英语教师合理开展课外阅读教学活动进行探讨。
