新时期素质教育在高中阶段逐步普及，高中学生作为国家人才储备的中坚力量，高中时期的心理健康教育尤为重要。如何帮助这些高中生顺利地度过高考以及完成青春期的转变，如何帮助他们释放学习、生活、成长压力？新时期，对人才的需求从只需具备专业知识转向除了专业知识，还要有完整健康的心理状态、道德素养。
