研究性学习具有开放性、探究性、实践性相结合的特点，尤其注重对学生学习兴趣，学生思维方式，学生的创新意识的培养。它不仅关注学生学会了多少知识，同时也关注学生在学习实践中所获得的体验。这是一种新型的教学方式，给包括语文在内的各个学科带来了前所未有的生机与活力。在进行研究性学习的道路上，我们语文教师任重而道远。
