Abstract：
红色基因蕴含着共产党人坚定的理想信念和优良传统作风，能够丰富高职院校大学生思政教育的内容和载体，能够引导高职院校大学生坚定理想信念。文章紧密结合习近平新时代中国特色社会主义思想和党的十九大精神，围绕如何传承和发扬红色基因，分析高职院校传承红色基因亟待解决的问题，将红色基因融入学生管理、思政教育、大学精神培育、实践课程等方面，在学生心中播下红色的种子，让大学生承担起传承红色文化、传承红色基因的使命，成为担当民族复兴大任的时代新人。
