    本文主要讨论荆山传统木作营造方式，荆山山区传统民居以砖石与木材为房屋的主要建筑材料。在这些民居中有完全采用木构架承重的房屋也有以砖、木混合承重的房屋。以及木构建筑中的主要承重部分如梁、柱、檩等大木作的营造方式。
