Abstract：
新课改要求我们，要重视学生的主体地位，着重培养学生的创新能力与自主学习能力。这就为我们的初中英语教学工作提出了更高的要求，教师不只是单纯的知识传播者、灌输者，更是学生学习习惯的塑造者、学习方法的引导者。“十年树木，百年树人”，培养学生的自主学习能力，培养其自主学习意识，是帮助他们构建终身学习行为习惯的关键，也是促进初中英语教学方式转型，提升教学效率与教学质量的必要手段。
