Abstract：
英语学科核心素养是英语教育的核心，阅读是提高核心素养的重要途径。在新课程教育改革的背景下，外研版高中英语教材进行了相应的革新，这既为教学提供了新的资源，也提出了新的挑战。因此，如何在新教材中运用核心素养指导英语阅读教学尚处在探究阶段。本文以外研版2019年普通高中教科书《英语》第六单元“LongjiRiceTerraces”为例，结合教学活动设计，探讨如何在阅读教学中提高学生的核心素养，为高中英语教师的阅读教学实践提供借鉴。
