大直径钻孔是一种有效的防突手段。通过研究钻孔围岩塑性区形态特征及演化规律,揭示了大直径钻孔防突机制。结果表明:(1)钻孔围岩塑性区有圆形、椭圆形和蝶形三种形态,其中蝶形塑性区蝶叶最大尺寸可达钻孔直径的数倍。(2)在一定的应力条件下,布置在突出煤层内的多个大直径钻孔会产生大范围的蝶形塑性区并相互连通,能够有效增加煤层透气性,从而消除煤层的突出危险性。
