随着信息化技术的快速发展，图书馆工作和建设也应当跟随时代发展的脚步，加强信息化技术的应用与先进技术相融合，为图书馆的数字化管理，自动化服务，信息化提供技术支持，推动图书馆信息资源共享，与此同时还要求进一步提高图书管理员的专业素质，以建设图书馆的科学化、专业化和个性化。
