Abstract：
在城市化建设进程中，不断新增各种建设项目，城市的布局和地形等变化巨大，对于城市交通规划提出了更高要求。为了使当前人们的生活出行需求得到良好满足，就需加强城市交通规划方式的创新。GIS技术作为新颖、先进的一项技术，能够实现城市规划中大量数据的高效利用，从而为城市管理质量优化提供助力。鉴于此，文章先简要概述了城市交通规划中GIS技术的应用价值，分析着重论述了GIS技术的应用要点和应用实践。
