    Abstract：

    干道沿线存在大量的交通发生点和吸引点，常常会伴随着较大的掉头交通需求。对于掉头交通设计方法的研究，能够使得在现有道路条件下掉头交通的设置更为合理，起到优化城市的交通组织，满足大部分的掉头交通需求的作用。本文介绍了城市信号交叉口掉头设置的研究进展，并对常见掉头的设置方法及其特性进行研究，结合星城大道和丽湖大道交叉口的实际案例进行掉头设置方案的调整，仿真结果表明左转或掉头车道右置的确能够降低延误。
