    随着新课程改革的深入,有限的课堂教学时间已不能满足英语课程标准对学生词汇掌握的要求,他们的课外阅读能力低下,影响了英语语言的使用,达不到语言教学的真正目的 .本文通过对初中英语自主阅读的调查,分析了初中英语课外阅读的意义,探讨了初中英语课外阅读的指导策略.
