Abstract：
在初中阶段教师和学生因为受到应试教育的影响，更多的将精力放在听力与书写方面，造成“哑巴英语”盛行的现状，其实这种状况是不对的，无论学习哪种语言，口头表达能力都具有十分重要的地位。学习语言不仅要懂得其意思，还要能够很好地表达自己，这也是21世纪新一代所必须具有的能力，这也让教师体会到口语教学的必要性，使其重视初中英语口语教学。
