花境是风景园林的重要组成部分，作为一种可持续发展的景观，它充分体现了城市的精神和状态。花境的应用和推广适应了市民对自然环境、对更好景观效果的需求，也是园林绿化建设和发展的需要。花境在提升城市形象和塑造城市形象方面将发挥越来越重要的作用。
