    素质教育发展到今天，作为一个小学美术教师，不但要想学生传授美术的基础知识和技能，提高学生的审美能力，更要对学生进行形式各样的美育教育，即德育教育，它对于陶冶情操，启迪智慧，促进学生德、智、体、美、劳全面发展，具有重要的作用。美术教育是一种国民素质教育；是全面实施素质教育，是课堂教学中进行德育教育与培养的有效途径。
