    初中历史课是中学历史教学中的一个重要环节，它使学生对中国古代史、近代史、现代史有了更深刻的认识。但是，中学历史教育在学生、家长乃至学校的领导面前，却常常得不到应有的重视。如何有效地提升中学历史教育的教学质量，是当前广大中学历史教师普遍存在的问题。作者根据自身的教学实践，从中学历史教学改革的必要性及途径出发，对如何有效地促进中学历史教学的实施进行了论述。
