    Abstract：

    当前初中教学强调以培养学生核心素养以及综合能力为目的，发展学生的各项基本能力，从而满足学生能够在终身学习中领悟在中学阶段学习到的本领，助力学生未来适应面对社会发展，能够凭借自身本领在社会立足。针对这一目的，初中教师需要在日常生活教学中践行双减政策中的教学原则。双减政策是近年来国家大力推崇的政策，以减轻学生和家长负担，提升公立教师教学能力为抓手。本文围绕核心素养背景下践行双减政策提升初中生英语阅读理解和写作能力展开论述，希望对初中英语教师有所帮助。
