    Abstract：

    土楼的诞生，有着特殊的历史背景。自唐宋以来，南迁人士来到重峦叠嶂、交通闭塞的山地地带并扎根于此。他们面对着闽南人与潮汕人的矛盾、地方起义军与朝廷的对峙、家族之间的械斗、横行的盗贼、山区中出没的猛兽。为了让家族在此长期稳定地生存下去，他们沿袭中原的夯土建筑形式，结合当地的特殊地理环境，建造了兼具居住与防御功能的土楼。
