Abstract：
空间是张炜小说中经常出现的意象，不仅具有叙事功能，更被赋予了不同的思想内涵。在其长篇小说《柏慧》中，主人公由城市到葡萄园的空间转换展现了张炜对现代化社会中负面因素的思索及批判。通过主人公的一次次退守乃至最终无处可退，展现了作家深沉的家园忧患意识，以及当代知识分子该何去何从的精神困境。
