长篇小说《大江沉重》是新时期广东改革文学时代书写的扛鼎之作，小说主人公邝健童用自身的言行生动诠释了改革英雄们在改革开放浪潮中的苦难担当、时代担当等时代精神风貌，也抒写了改革英雄们在时代裹挟下作为“人”的温情与道德坚守。
