数形结合思想具有实际应用意义，尤其在初中数学教学过程中，数形结合思想具有极强的知识点概括、整合效用，使解题方法更具灵活性，有助于提高教学质量及效率。对于初中生而言，数学过于晦涩、乏味，把数形结合思想运用在教学过程中，能充分调动学生学习数学的积极性。数形结合作为数学学科中的重要思想，对学生思维发展和学习能力起到积极推动作用。
