Abstract：
新时期下，在初中英语教学中要对学生的应用能力、探究意识、英语思维等加以培养，体现出学生的能动性，让学生能够主动投入英语知识的学习和应用中，这样英语教学的效果才能够最大化。首先，教师要认识到情境教学法的作用和价值，依据初中学生的实际学习情况，设置出问题情境、游戏情境、生活化情境等。同时教师也要给予学生更多表达的机会。此外，在情境教学法下教师还要有效地拓展教学的范围，丰富学生的英语知识面，提升初中学生的综合素质。
