数学的练习是使学生掌握系统的数学基础知识、技能的重要手段，也是培养学生能力、发展学生智力的重要途径。数学练习必须精心设计与安排，因为学生在做经过精心安排的练习时，不仅可以积极地掌握数学知识，而且能提高其思维能力。
