    Abstract：

    本文从实证研究的角度探讨“策略训练”和“能力培养”的有效性。以本文作者所教学的农村中学初二年级两个班学生为研究对象，运用研究方法进行为期近一年的实证研究，通过SPSS对实验结果进行数据分析。结果表明：“策略训练”和“能力培养”的合并运用效果明显，从而证明了元认知阅读策略训练与自我监控能力培养的推广应用是提高农村中学生英语阅读水平和能力的有效途径之一。
