函数概念的出现,不仅是数学史上的重大突破,而且对我们的生活和实践也产生了重大影响.可以看出,函数的出现对人类社会具有重大影响.函数的概念贯穿于数学的研究之中,函数的知识贯穿于初中至大学.可以看出,函数在数学研究中非常重要.在初中数学方面,函数是数学知识的主线,同时也是学生最难克服和理解的知识之一.
