    语言学习的主要内容包括听、说、读、写几部分，而写作是语言文化得以传承和延续的主要途径，因此，是英语语言学习的重点内容。学生的写作能力是英语语言综合应用能力的体现，也反映了学生学习和掌握英语语言的程度。写作内容不仅仅是语言应用过程中的主要部分，也是英语考试中重点考查的内容。
