    从地理学发展史角度来看中学地理核心素养的提出是有迹可循的，人地关系是地理学发展的主线；地球表层系统的综合性和区域特征决定了需要用综合的思维，区域视角和方法去看待它；地理学的发展中科学家们通过各种实践，发现地理现象和规律，这体现出地理科学的实践性特色。由此可见，四个素养的提出与发展史息息相关。
