对学生的作文进行批改，是作文教学的重要组成部分。教师通过批改，对学生进行作文的指导，使学生了解自己作文的优缺点，并从中受到怎样写好作文的启发。通过批改，教师可以了解学生作文的实际，便于总结作文教学的经验教训，及时改进教学；也可以收集素材，为作文讲评做好准备。
