有效开展初中英语的阅读教学活动，促进初中学生阅读理解能力、英语思维能力的全面发展，帮助他们养成良好的阅读习惯，并积累下丰富的知识经验，想方设法提升词汇教学的有效性，取得词汇教学的良好效果，对于初中学生主体优势的不断扩大，内在潜能的深入挖掘而言大有助益，是英语教师必须完成的教学任务。高度关注词汇教学，使阅读教学与词汇教学的融合更加自然，更多学生善于阅读、乐于思考，语言知识也将得到进一步完善。
